LAYLA
No Lion Shes Flying
Paid into Future Fortunes. $40K (Papers below)
2015 - Lions Share of Fame
Layla was trained by 2021 NFR qualifier and average winner Molly Otto - and is a SOLID 1D-2D barrel horse consistently and has won many jackpots and buckles. 1D at Verndale, Mason City, Winona and other BIG 3 day shows in Minnesota and Iowa. She consistently runs a 21 second pole pattern - again room to grow.
At Texas High School Rodeo finals in May 2023, Layla took in 5th for both days in barrels and was 6th overall in poles. Since then - she's only been run a couple times (in the last year). Since Kaidyn didn't want to compete much, Layla has not been run much in Texas, but: 1/2D at jackpots/big shows with more speed to give. She has done well at the Forth Worth Stockyards rodeos and placed 3rd in the novice at Hamel Rodeo in MN (her first ever rodeo!).
Smooth and fun to ride! She is an easy keeper, and nice as they come. Walks nicely into the arena. As with all performance horses, Layla requires some maintenance (mainly hock injections), and she runs on lasix (as a preventative that Molly Otto started with) - happy to chat more about this & of course, vet checks welcome at buyer's expense.
Need a high school rodeo horse? A solid mare for jackpots? This fabulous mare runs poles, barrels, swims and even has been used a lesson horse for tiny kiddos. She does it all! She is like riding a CADILLAC! Super broke...all the buttons. No weird quirks. Loads, ties, bathes, stands...all the normal stuff.
Breaks our heart, but selling as these are our daughter's barrel horses...and she is focusing on training horses & working. Her twin does not have the time to ride all of the horses now, so we have to let someone else enjoy her mares. Good homes a must. Not in a hurry. Here is her other barrel horse, ENNA.
