RULES & FAQ

Some guidelines....We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone (contestant & spectators included) not obeying all posted or online rules.  Offenders may be asked to leave the property.

1.

SHOW FORMAT

The times splits between the divisions for a 4D format show may be either 0.5 - 0.5 - 0.5 second splits or 0.5 - 0.5 - 1 second splits, and splits for a 5D format will be 0.5 second between all divisions. Format subject to change based on participation.  Youth classes are for ages 17 & under.

2.

BARREL PATTERN

We use a 30-65-80 pattern (D - closed gate).  The location of each barrel and the timer will be staked or otherwise marked to ensure the proper placement of the barrels.

3.

TIMING

All runs will be timed utilizing electronic eyes. If timer malfunctions, contestant will be given a re-run.  If a re-run is given, it will be up to the producer and the contestant to decide when the re-run will take place. Re-runs will not be given for contestant's equipment breaking or for a rider’s decision to pull up.

4.

GROUND

Every effort will be made to provide safe and even ground for all contestants. The ground will be worked with our Ground Hog drag at regular intervals (every 5-7 runs depending on conditions).  We will do a full (or "big") drag every 50 runners.  Typically, we will not drag for PeeWee events.

5.

BE READY

Contestants must be ready when called. Failure to be in position in the holding area will result in a disqualification. Only contestants may be in The Mosh PIT holding area during the drag.

6.

PEEWEES

To enter the PeeWee Barrel event, participant must be 10 years of age or under and may NOT enter any other events.  PeeWee runs cannot carry over into the Open or other events.  PeeWee fees (whether collected as an entry fee or office fee) will be paid back at 100%.  PeeWee format and payouts decided day of race based on participation, but typically we will pay out in a 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, etc. format and will pay out as many places as possible.

7.

SELLING SPOTS

It is easy for our software to "swap" draw numbers, so no problem if you want to trade draw numbers - just let us know.  It is NOT an option to swap rider/horse combos.  You can sell your spot, but the original name on the draw will be called & counted.

8.

RESCHEDULING/CANCELATIONS

There are NO REFUNDS.  We can sometimes change or remove an entry before the draw is out (and we want to help when we can because we understand things happen), but once the draw is out, we CANNOT make changes, so a 'canceled' entry will be a scratch.  If an event in 2020 is rescheduled or canceled by The PIT, your entry will transfer in full to the another date in 2020 OR should you wish to cancel your entry for a refund, we will refund your entry fess, less the office and checkout fees.

9.

CARRYOVERS

All carryovers MUST be designated at time of entry.

10.

PAYOFF

100% of all advertised added money will be paid as prize money, while a minimum of 75% of entry fees will be paid as prize money.  The number of places paid and the payoff percentages for each place are may vary per event.  Payouts will typically made via Venmo using the contestant's phone number.  You can sign up for a Venmo account HERE.  If Venmo is not an option for you, please let us know.

11.

12.
