MEET HOLLY!
Come try her & you will take her home!!!
GOOD MINDED, WILLING, SMART, and MATURE as they come!
This will be a hard sale for us as we have grown extremely attached to her. She is quick & athletic and DOES NOT show her age. She wants to GO!!! Cutting, sorting, WSCA - perfect for youth!
BROKE:
She is very user friendly & SOLID! She loves a challenge, but can sit for months between rides and stays broke - you can just haul her to a show & she won't miss a beat! Rides bareback & double. No rear or buck. She rides in chaotic arenas, ties quietly, group trail rides, pastures with anyone or stalls. Loads and hauls like a champ, and is great in new environments. Ride her in a halter bareback - nice as can be.
HEALTHY:
She is 100% sound and healthy. UTD farrier, coggins, etc. Teeth done regularly by Hoeck Veterinary Services.
LOW MAINTENANCE, EASY KEEPER: She requires -0- maintenance. She rides in chaotic arenas, ties quietly, group trail rides, pastures with anyone or stalls. Bathes, clips, and has good manners for the vet and farrier. Ground ties.
VICES:
She trailers easily, but you have to hold her back if you want her to walk into the trailer otherwise she kind’ve “power surges” in. Also, she picks up her front feet so nicely and they feel light as a feather, but her back feet - she picks up, but you kind’ve have to help “hold” them. If she’s going to be on a lot of gravel, we put front shoes on her, but otherwise, no shoes.
THE SCOOP:
Here’s the scoop. Our twin girls started riding horses - and then started competing in WSCA and at barrel races. I only had experience trail riding as kids and a little as an adult, but wanted to share in the experience with them. I rode a few horses, but couldn’t find one I really liked, so I was content cheering from the sidelines.
Then I met Holly. She would come to meet me in the pasture, she was smart and gorgeous, and made me feel safe when I was scared to even lope. So...this talented cow horse learned WSCA games and barrel racing along with me. We would often win our events (albeit in the Senior+ class!) and qualified for Champ Show in every event both years we competed. (Previous owner in the videos)
I’ve come so far with Holly & I dearly love her, but I am 45 yrs old now, and I am looking for a horse that’s a little more fluid. She does respond great to body movements. This gives me a little trouble sometimes because of my lack of experience, but would be an amazing asset for most.
Offered at $3500 - a GREAT home is a MUST! (Negotiable for perfect home).
You can see her registration papers in the slideshow below.
TRY HER & see for yourself!
These pics are from the last couple years...We'll update with images from May 2019 soon. She's still shedding some of her winter coat! :-)
